49ers Player Announces New Contract With Amazing Video

The San Francisco 49ers are just a few weeks away from free agency, where they'll look for potential additions to help them make another deep playoff run in 2023. Before then, though, the team will seek to retain a few key contributors with new contracts.

The 49ers did just that by agreeing to a three-year deal with long snapper Taybor Pepper on Saturday. Pepper celebrated the news with an amazing video.

Pepper's announcement begins on a solemn note, thanking the San Francisco faithful for their past three years together. Considering the tone, it sounds like the 28-year-old is announcing his departure.

Then the video immediately cuts to Leonardo DiCaprio's famous speech as Jordan Belfort in "The Wolf of Wall Street," where he passionately tells his peers he's not going anywhere.

Pepper played with 49ers fans' heart for a second, but they'll surely be relieved to find out he's sticking around. The fifth-year pro has been a key part of San Francisco's special teams unit over the past three seasons, and his return fills an important hole ahead of free agency.
