The San Francisco 49ers have one of the most respected head coaches in the league in Kyle Shanahan. He's built an impressive staff over the years that includes notable former players like DeMeco Ryans and Wes Welker.
It turns out Shanahan is adding another ex-player to his staff before the regular season kicks off.
Orlando Franklin 49ers
Former offensive lineman Orlando Franklin is joining Shanahan's staff ahead of the start of the 2021 campaign. Franklin interned with the team during training camp and clearly impressed enough to earn a coaching gig offer.
The University of Miami (FL) product was a second-round pick in the 2011 NFL Draft. He then spent six seasons as a starter with the Denver Broncos and San Diego Chargers. Franklin suited up in one game for the Washington Football Team in 2017 before calling it a career.
The 49ers own +1400 odds to win the Super Bowl this season, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
