The NFL draft season is in full swing and that means more trades could be on the way. This class of prospects is full of talent and untapped potential, which means we may see more teams moving up in the draft similar to how the San Francisco 49ers recently did.

There are definitely certain teams that would benefit from having a higher pick in the first round than they currently do more than others. With that being said, here are three teams that should move up in this NFL draft.

1. Chicago Bears

The Bears made the playoffs last season, but need to ensure they have a strong defense to lead them back there in 2021. One way they can do that is by trading up from the No. 20 overall pick to select a shutdown cornerback. Names that stick out in this situation is are Patrick Surtain II and Caleb Farley. Both of these players are expected to be taken early on in the first round. Plus, the Bears can likely make a deal to move up 3-6 picks without giving up a future first-round pick. While it may not seem like much, this move would make certain Chicago gets their guy.

2. New England Patriots

The Patriots could make a major splash in this NFL draft by trading up into the top 10 and taking one of the top quarterback prospects in Mac Jones or Trey Lance. New England recently signed Cam Newton to a one-year deal, but he is not the solution for the future of this team. By owning the No. 15 overall pick, the Patriots can easily put together a package that would catch the eye of some of the teams in front of them. This front office has built a reputation of nailing their quarterback draft selections and this year could be no different.

3. Minnesota Vikings

Free agency hasn't been a bit of a mixed bag for the Vikings so far as they have signed some key defensive pieces, but have not done much to address a need on the offensive line. One way they can do that in the draft is by trading up and selecting a to prospect at the position such as Rashawn Slater. Minnesota has the No. 14 overall pick, but it's a risk to see if Slater falls that far. Instead, they can add in a late-round draft pick and move up a few slots to ensure they can grab him.
