TCU Horned Frogs free safety Trevon Moehrig is likely to be one of the first safeties off of the board at the 2021 NFL Draft, if not the very first one to go.

Moehrig played in 33 games across three seasons for TCU, recording 124 total tackles, 7 interceptions, 21 passes defended and two forced fumbles. He also had an overall 74.6 PFF grade in 2020. Moehrig also won the 2020 Jim Thorpe Award for the best defensive back in all of college football.

Keeping that in mind, here are three teams that are likely to draft Moehrig in less than two weeks.

3. Baltimore Ravens (No. 27)

Safeties can sometimes be unpredictable when it comes to the NFL draft. While some mock drafts project Moehrig to go in the middle of Round 1, he could always fall to the Baltimore Ravens at No. 27 or they could move up to get him. Clifton Brown, a staff writer for the Ravens website, said on Thursday that the Ravens could use Moehrig to build up some depth at safety while potential giving him an opportunity on special teams.

2. Los Angeles Chargers (No. 13)

While the Los Angeles Chargers will likely target an offensive tackle at No. 13, it wouldn't be a bad move to take Moehrig at that spot. As it stands, Nasir Adderley is the Chargers No. 1 free safety. With a 50.8 PFF grade last season, they could use an upgrade. Moehrig would be exactly that, as indicated by his 74.6 grade last season. Obviously, stats don't always translate perfectly to the NFL, but Moehrig has the potential to be a solid pick for the Chargers, even if it's perceived as a reach by some.

1. Jacksonville Jaguars (No. 25)

Even though they already have the No. 1 pick in the draft, the Jacksonville Jaguars also have No. 25 from the Seattle Seahawks. The Jaguars could be in a position to take the best player available and that could very well be Moehrig. He's talented, athletic and several experts see him being drafted to Jacksonville as a good choice, including ESPN's Mel Kiper. If the Jaguars want to build a contender for years to come, Moehrig could be an important part of their defense as soon as 2021.
