3 Most Likely Spencer Dinwiddie Free Agent Destinations

Spencer Dinwiddie is coming off a season that he missed almost in entirety following a torn ACL. But he still remains one of the more notable names on the free-agent market heading into the offseason. NBA free agency officially begins on Monday, August 2, and there will be a handful of teams in search of Dinwiddie's services.
With the ability to play both guard positions, it opens up a ton of possibilities for Dinwiddie. A return to the Brooklyn Nets seems unlikely at this point, but not impossible. Let's take a look at three likely destinations for the 28-year-old guard.
3. Los Angeles Clippers
Spencer Dinwiddie is a Los Angeles native, and he has expressed interest in returning to the area in the past. The Lakers seemed to have solved their question marks at guard with Russell Westbrook, and don't really have another options to send over in a sign and trade like it would require. The Clippers, however, do. A sign and trade involving some combination of Marcus Morris, Patrick Beverly, Ivica Zubac or Luke Kennard could all be possibilities to clear enough space for the Clippers to land Dinwiddie.
2. New York Knicks
The Knicks have long been on the search for a franchise point guard and another wing scorer, Dinwiddie can do both, and the prospect of staying in the city of New York could be a real attraction to him. The Knicks will have more money to spend than any other team in free agency. While the Knicks drafted potential solutions for that in Quentin Grimes and Deuce McBride, but Dinnwidde would be an instant upgrade and provide multiple solutions for them. The Knicks have been and will be connected to a bunch of guards throughout free agency, and Dinwiddie is absolutely one of them.
1. Chicago Bulls
The Bulls, similar to the Knicks, also are in need of guard help, and also have a good chunk of change to spend. They too have been connected to a ton of names, including Lonzo Ball. Chicago provides the big city and market environment, with a the money to pay Dinwiddie the raise he is seeking. If it comes down to a bidding war, it could be down to the Bulls or Knicks, but if other factors are at play for Dinwiddie, the field is much more open.
