The San Francisco 49ers just made one of the biggest moves of the offseason. General manager John Lynch is sending the No. 12 overall pick, two future first-round picks and a 2022 third-rounder to the Miami Dolphins in exchange for the No. 3 overall selection.

Surrendering a haul like that all but guarantees that San Francisco will be using that selection on a quarterback. Though the team has reportedly said it intends on keeping Jimmy Garoppolo, recouping some draft capital by trading him still feels like the most likely outcome here.

With that in mind, here are the three most likely trade destinations for Jimmy G this offseason.

3. Chicago Bears

The Chicago Bears were reportedly in the running for a ton of big-name QBs, but they ended up with Andy Dalton. No disrespect to the Red Rifle, but that didn't exactly sit well with most Bears fans. Financially it could be tricky to absorb Garoppolo's contract, but we've seen GMs make magic with the cap before. And Garoppolo would be a much more exciting option than Dalton in 2021.

2. Denver Broncos

Picking at No. 9 in the NFL Draft, it's unlikely that the Denver Broncos are going to find their Drew Lock replacement in the first round. But Jimmy G could be that guy. This team quietly has a ton of talent on the roster, and it feels like the Broncos are just a QB away from being frisky in the AFC. If Denver is willing to part with a second- or third-round pick, this move could take the Broncos over the top.

1. New England Patriots

The New England Patriots have been rumored to be interested in a reunion with Jimmy G, and this news makes that a whole lot more likely. We've also seen what Garoppolo did while working with a tight end like George Kittle, and that should make him a good fit in this new-look Patriots' offense that just added Jonnu Smith and Hunter Henry. Garoppolo and incumbent starter Cam Newton have both proven to be injury prone, so keeping both on the roster would make a ton of sense.
