On Sunday Night Football this week, the Green Bay Packers head south to take on the New Orleans Saints. To open the week, the Saints are the slight home favorites, but no result would be shocking between these two top NFC teams.

However, there could still be some surprises in the game. With that in mind, here are three bold predictions for the Packers against the Saints.

3. Aaron Jones Totals 150 Yards

Aaron Jones went off in Week 2, totaling over 200 yards and three touchdowns. On Sunday night, he has a couple of things going his way. First, he has performed well in domes. For his career, he has averaged 95.5 yards in dome games, compared to his 78.0 yard average for his career. Jones also had a terrific day in his only matchup with the Saints, going for 138 yards on the day. He’s an improved player in a better offense now, so he could improve upon this total.

2. Za’Darius Smith Gets a Sack

The Packers pass rush turned it up a notch last week against the Detroit Lions, sacking Matthew Stafford four times. To nobody’s surprise, Za’Darius Smith got in on the action, tallying a sack and two quarterback hits. This came after he had a sack in Week 1 as well. Look for him to make it three in a row, as the Mike Pettine-led defense blitzes Drew Brees a lot.

1. Aaron Rodgers Does Not Throw an Interception

You may think that Aaron Rodgers needs to make a mistake at some point this season. While this may be true, it is not likely to happen here in prime time. In 54 career late games, Rodgers has thrown just 26 interceptions. This is the same player that threw just four interceptions total during the 2019 regular season. Rodgers knows that he needs to protect the football in big games like this, and he should do just that.
