By Max Staley

The San Francisco 49ers are one of the most successful franchises in NFL history. With five Super Bowl rings, it should come as no surprise that this team has featured some top-tier talents across many different positions. And wide receiver is certainly no exception.
With that in mind, let's take a look at the three best wide receivers in 49ers' history.

Best 49ers Wide Receivers
3. Dwight Clark (1979-87)
Dwight Clark made one of, if not the, most iconic catch in NFL history. Beyond being the man who made "The Catch," though, Clark was a really productive wideout in SF for quite some time. He's third all-time in franchise history with 6,750 receiving yards and also ranks fourth in total receptions (506).
2. Terrell Owens (1996-03)
Were it not for the next name on this list, the mercurial Terrell Owens would have a legitimate claim to the No. 1 spot here. He ranks No. 2 all-time in 49ers history with 592 receptions, 8,572 receiving yards and 81 scores. During his eight years with the 49ers, he made four Pro Bowls and was a three-time first-team All-Pro member.
1. Jerry Rice (1985-00)
Of course, the best wide receiver in NFL history had to top this list. Jerry Rice has too many accolades to document here, but he leads the 49ers in essentially every category that a receiver can. His career 19,247 receiving yards, 1,281 receptions and 176 TDs are more than double what the second-place Owens has. Rice led the league in receiving yards six times during his 18-year career in San Francisco, and he led the league in receiving TDs six times as well. He's was a 12-time Pro Bowler with the 49ers and earned 10 First-team All-Pro selections.
