The Philadelphia Eagles are coming off a third straight playoff appearance, but there are a number of interesting battles expected during the offseason. Due to a strange strategy in the 2020 NFL Draft, the Eagles aren't left with much depth on defense, where they could see significant turnover.

Here are three players that could lose their starting jobs next season.

1. T.J. Edwards, LB

The Eagles' depth at linebacker is limited. The team clearly agreed, spending three picks on linebackers in the 2020 NFL Draft. T.J. Edwards is a solid run defender, but his deficiencies in pass coverage could keep him from earning a full-time role. In fact, sixth-round pick Shaun Bradley should provide immediate competition for Edwards. While there's some hype building around Edwards this offseason, he's not a guaranteed starter for the team and could struggle to hang on to a starting role in 2020.

2. Jalen Mills, S

Jalen Mills was a breakout star during the 2017 postseason, but he will be asked to switch to a new role in 2020 after the departure of veteran Malcolm Jenkins. Mills has been inconsistent and plagued by injuries over the last two years, and his success at safety is far from guaranteed. He could end up moving back to cornerback if Avonte Maddox underperforms. While Mills is a talented player, his future on the roster is uncertain.

3. Duke Riley, LB

Most sources currently have Duke Riley penciled in as the starting outside linebacker, but he appears to have a tenuous grasp on the job, at best. Third-round pick Davion Taylor should compete for the role, as Riley spent most of last year on special teams and didn't start a single game. As mentioned above, the Eagles are very thin at linebacker, and Riley is not a surefire bet to hang on to the position.
