The NBA Western Conference Playoffs could see an upset in the first round. The No. 3 Denver Nuggets enter the series as underdogs against the No. 6 Portland Trail Blazers. Portland is up to a -132 series favorite, despite the Nuggets featuring the NBA MVP favorite in Nikola Jokic.

Jokic is a popular player as bettors make prop bets on the Nuggets. Damian Lillard, the leading scorer and assist man for the Trail Blazers, is another intriguing option.

Using props and odds from FanDuel Sportsbook, here are three player prop bets for the Trail Blazers vs. Nuggets in Game 1.

1. CJ McCollum Over 22.5 Points (-108)

The Blazers won 10 of their final 12 regular-season games, and the blazing backcourt of Lillard and CJ McCollum will be tough to contain. Especially with Nuggets guards Jamaal Murray (knee) out for the year and Will Barton (hamstring) now ruled out for Game 1. Lillard tops the team in scoring, but McCollum will get his share as the Blazers No. 2 scorer averaging 23.1 points per game. McCollum scored 24 points against Denver to close the season and played fewer minutes. He's gone off on Denver before in more meaningful games, and expect more three-pointers and free throws with a secondary defender guarding him.

2. Nikola Jokic Under 8.5 Assists (-136)

Jokic carried the Nuggets playing in all 72 games as the league's likely Most Valuable Player. Of course his prop numbers are inflated as the playoffs begin, and Jokic had nine or more assists in just two of the Nuggets final 12 games. That included exactly two assists in the season finale against Portland.

3. Damian Lillard Made Threes - Over 3.5 (-140)

Lillard is a natural and gifted scorer who averaged 28.8 points per game this season. He's taken at least nine three-pointers in 10 of his last 11 games. With a 39.1% conversion rate this season, and better than 44% in seven of his last 10 games, Lillard looks like a good bet to make at least four long range shots in Game 1.
