2021 Tokyo Olympics: Women's Softball Gold Medal Odds Favors Team USA on FanDuel Sportsbook

The Summer Olympics are approaching in Tokyo, and FanDuel Sportsbook has you covered for betting odds on the Olympics. That includes on futures odds to win the gold medal in women's softball.

The six team field is led by team USA (-210) with Japan (+200) the pre-tournament main contenders, according to softball odds at FanDuel Sportsbook.

Japan qualified automatically as the host nation, and the U.S. team won the 2018 Women's Softball World Championship to qualify for the Olympics. The remaining four spots were allocated through three qualification tournaments.

Softball was introduced as an Olympic sport for women starting with the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta. Women's softball was featured in the next three Games before the IOC voted to remove the program. The 2024 Olympics in Paris will not have women's softball.

The U.S. women's Olympic softball team just arrived at the Marine Corps Air Station in Iwakuni, Japan. The has seven exhibition games scheduled against corporate teams from Japanese companies including Hitachi, Toyota, and Iyo Bank that will be played at at Atago’s Kizuna Stadium prior to the start of actual Olympic competition.
