WNBA Best Bets and Predictions Today

Atlanta Dream vs Washington Mystics

Atlanta Dream Moneyline (-164)

Atlanta took control of this series with a 92-77 win in Game 1, overcoming a five-point halftime deficit with a strong second half. Washington committed 22 turnovers in the loss, including seven in the third quarter that Atlanta turned into 14 points.

Washington had a clear advantage on the glass, outrebounding Atlanta 50-31, but the Dream made up for it by forcing mistakes and getting scoring from throughout the lineup. Rhyne Howard, Allisha Gray and DeWanna Bonner all contributed offensively as Atlanta pulled away.

Washington returning home should make Game 2 more competitive, but the same turnover matchup remains a concern. Atlanta showed in Game 1 that it can create extra possessions and capitalize when Washington makes mistakes, making the Dream moneyline the safer way to back Atlanta without needing another multi-possession win.

Golden State Valkyries vs Dallas Wings

Over 156.5 Total Points (-110)

Game 1 between Golden State and Dallas produced 184 total points in a 104-80 Valkyries win. Golden State's offense was especially effective from outside, making 18 three-pointers and scoring a franchise-record 104 points.

A repeat of that shooting performance isn't necessary for the teams to clear 156.5. Dallas scored 49 points in the second half of Game 1 after managing just 31 before halftime, while Golden State had three players score at least 20 points. Dallas also returns home for Game 2 after finishing the regular season with one of the league's stronger home-court advantages.

Golden State's defense was the best in the WNBA during the regular season, allowing 75.1 points per game, so Dallas will need a better offensive performance for the over to hit. But after the teams combined for 184 in Game 1, the 156.5 total leaves room for a significant drop in scoring while still clearing the number.

Paige Bueckers 20+ Points (-106)

Paige Bueckers was Dallas' most productive scorer in Game 1, finishing with 21 points on 9-of-10 shooting while also leading the Wings with six rebounds. She scored 17 of those points before halftime and continued producing even as Golden State adjusted its defense against her later in the game.

Bueckers also led Dallas in scoring against Golden State during the regular season, averaging 17.7 points across the three matchups. She has now reached 20 points in the first playoff meeting and enters Game 2 with Dallas facing elimination at home.

The 90% shooting from Game 1 isn't something that needs to be repeated for this bet to hit. Dallas will need more offense to extend the series, and Bueckers has been its most consistent scoring option in this matchup. A 20+ point line keeps the target close to both her Game 1 production and the role she has carried throughout the season.

WNBA Betting -- Frequently Asked Questions

What does the point spread mean in WNBA betting?

The point spread is a margin set by oddsmakers to level the playing field between two unevenly matched teams. For example, if the Dallas Wings are listed at -7.5, they need to win by 8 or more points for a bet on them to cash. Conversely, a bet on their opponent at +7.5 wins if that team loses by 7 or fewer points — or wins outright.

What is the moneyline?

The moneyline is a straight-up bet on which team wins the game, with no spread involved. Favorites carry a negative number (e.g., -200, meaning you must risk $200 to win $100), while underdogs carry a positive number (e.g., +170, meaning a $100 bet returns $170 profit).

How does the over/under (game total) work?

Oddsmakers set a projected combined score for the game, and bettors wager on whether the actual total will go over or under that number. For instance, if the total is set at 154.5 points, an over bet wins if both teams combine for 155 or more points. WNBA totals can swing based on pace of play, rest situations, and injuries, so it's worth tracking those factors before placing a total bet.

What are WNBA player props?

Player props are bets tied to an individual player's statistical performance rather than the game's outcome. Common prop bet markets include points scored, assists, rebounds, three-pointers made, and combinations of those stats.
