Ariel Atkins Over 16.5 Points (-115)

These 0-2 clubs are looking for their first win of the season in Sunday's lone contest, and it's hard not to take the points with the Washington Mystics given what they've shown so far.

Washington lost by just five to the vaunted New York Liberty attack, and they scored 77 points on an excellent Connecticut Sun defense on the road. On the other hand, the Seattle Storm were expected to have a better season after a marquee addition, Skylar Diggins-Smith, to pair with Jewell Loyd, but there's definitely been a feeling-out process. Seattle's 84.0 offensive rating, entering another road contest, is ugly.

Knocking on the door of their first dub, I'll take Washington to at least keep this game tight.

If that's the case, Ariel Atkins will probably need to play a huge role in that. Atkins has topped 20 points in two of her last three before dropping a 3-for-12 clunker from the field versus the Sun. Her usage rate (22.9%) is second on the Mystics, but Brittany Sykes' 29.2% usage rate is out of the lineup due to an ankle injury. Expect Atkins to lead the team in shots again.

As a result, this points prop -- a blended average of recent games -- is far too low. Rotowire expects 21.2 points from Atkins to lead Washington on Sunday.
