Player props can be useful in a variety of ways -- from taking advantage of them straight up to measuring a player's potential to produce in daily fantasy hockey on FanDuel. Here, we're going to focus on the former.

Utilizing our projections -- which are powered by numberFire -- as a guide, here are some NHL player props bets that look appealing via the NHL odds at FanDuel Sportsbook.

NHL Prop Bets

Sergei Bobrovsky Over 24.5 Saves (-125)

With the Florida Panthers up 2-0 over the Edmonton Oilers, Sergei Bobrovsky could see a ton of shots tonight.

The series shifts to Edmonton for the next two games and it's essentially crunch time for the Oilers' offense. They scored a single goal in the first two games and more importantly, had only 19 shots on goal in Game 2.

I'm approaching this from the lens that the Oilers need to play with a bit of desperation and force Bobrovsky to make a high volume of saves. That's what we saw in Game 1 when the Oilers had 32 shots on goal but weren't able to get any past Bobrovsky.

Through six periods in this series, Edmonton posted at least 12 shots on goal three times, which should be the rate of shots they aim for tonight.

With the second line change as the home team, they should be able to put their high-end skaters in advantageous matchups, which will hopefully create more scoring chances.

Sam Reinhart Over 2.5 Shots on Goal (-144)

With a strong offensive role, Sam Reinhart brings consistency to the Panthers' lineup.

Reinhart skates on the Panthers' first forward line and the first power-play unit, which has allowed him to rack up 68 shots on goal over 19 games in the playoffs, or 3.5 per game.

The Panthers will have Aleksander Barkov in the lineup tonight alongside Reinhart, which should continue to give him space to shoot.

The shot attempt battle in this series is largely even with the Oilers at 117 and the Panthers at 105, but with a 3-0 series lead within grasp for Florida, they will look to pour on the offense tonight.
