The Eastern Conference Finals are heating up as Game 4 looks to be an important one tonight following back-to-back overtime finishes.

Whether it's moneylines or total goals, there are plenty of ways to bet on the NHL action all season. It's a long 82-game campaign, meaning that the best selections of each night can be very different based on backup goalies coming into play, injuries that add up, and if teams are due for positive or negative swings.

Let's dive into the best bets for tonight.

New York Rangers at Florida Panthers

Under 5.5 Goals (-124)

The Florida Panthers are looking to tie things up at two apiece tonight against the New York Rangers.

Florida has dominated the pace of this series, yet they find themselves down after back-to-back overtime losses. The Rangers have earned themselves a series lead through sheer will, determination, and Igor Shesterkin. He's a big reason why I'm aiming for Under 5.5 Goals (-124) tonight -- especially following the crazy, nine-goal affair on Sunday.

Shesterkin is second in Conn Smythe odds right now on FanDuel Sportsbook at +380 odds -- and for good reason. New York's netminder has started 13 games, posting a 2.33 goals against average (GAA) and .925 save percentage (SV%). It's been a return to form for the former Vezina Trophy winner. He also put together 11.49 goals saved above expectation (GSAx). Shesterkin will be tasked to hold the Panthers down, which is how the under will hit.

The Panthers have been doing everything offensively except scoring enough. Florida has a 74.85 Corsi for per 60 minutes (CF/60) -- the best in the conference finals. They've held the Rangers to a 55.31 CF/60 and also have the edge in expected goals for per 60 minutes (xGF/60) at a 2.89 clip compared to the Rangers' 2.45. Those expected numbers, the goaltending, and the intensity of the playoffs lean toward an under.

This series is poised to go down to the very end, so while I would expect the Panthers to tie things tonight based on their skating, the under is the better wager given how Shesterkin continues to turn them aside.
