NHL Player Prop Bets to Target on Friday 12/8/23

The Pittsburgh Penguins are riding a three-game losing streak and need to step up the offense against the Florida Panthers.

A 6.5 over/under is a good indication there will be plenty of goals scored tonight and that leads me to Evgeni Malkin, who is on the second forward line and the first power-play for the Penguins.

Over his last 10 games, he has a total of 24 shots on goal with only 2 of those finding the back of the net. The puck luck isn't in his favor after starting the season with seven goals in his first 10 games.

Nothing has changed for Malkin compared to the first 10 games of the season. His line is the same, he is taking a comparable amount of shots per game, but simply, no goals.

While the Panthers' defense is solid overall, they started to slip just a bit and have allowed three or more goals in half of their last 10 games. If there's any time for Malkin to breakout on offense, it's with this type of matchup.
