NBA Best Bets

Cleveland Cavaliers at Indiana Pacers

Pacers -6.5 (-112)

The Cleveland Cavaliers have a long list of injuries, including Donovan Mitchell, Max Strus, and Evan Mobley. That's three starters who are expected to miss action tonight against the Indiana Pacers. Mitchell (31.4% usage rate) and Mobley (20.7% usage rate) are both among Cleveland's five most used players.

After going 1-3 over the last four games, the Cavs have a tough road test against the Pacers, who are 3-1 against the spread (ATS) over the last four. I like Indiana's chances of covering the spread against an injury-battered Cleveland squad.

Three of the Cavaliers' last four opponents have reached 117 points, and three of the past four teams have also recorded at least a 48.0% field goal percentage (FG%). This is not a good time for Cleveland's defense to stumble as the Pacers feature the second-best offensive rating while totaling 122.9 points per game (PPG) -- the league's top mark.

Due to the Cavs' injuries and the defense's recent rough stretch, give me the home team to cover.

Memphis Grizzlies at Sacramento Kings

Under 221 (-112)

Over the last four games, the under has gone 4-0 for the Sacramento Kings. This looks to be a favorable bet once again with the Kings taking on the Association's lowest-scoring team.

The Memphis Grizzlies have the worst offensive rating in the league and total only 105.8 PPG (last). Finding any strengths for the Grizzlies' offense is a tall task. Three-point shooting could be one area where Memphis can excel with the ideal matchup. They attempt the fifth-most three-point shots, but the Kings have this in check by allowing the ninth-fewest attempts from deep.

Both teams are also in the bottom 17 for possessions per game, which certainly aids a slow-paced contest. The Grizz total the sixth-fewest field goals per game and allow the seventh-fewest shots.

Memphis will likely make every possible effort to make this a slow-paced game, and with their weak offense, the under looks like a wise side.

New York Knicks at Golden State Warriors

Over 211.5 (-105)

The under and the New York Knicks have gone together like peanut butter and jelly over the last 10 games (9-1). However, I finally believe the over will hit for a game involving the Knicks tonight.

The total is set at only 211.5 against the Golden State Warriors. The -105 odds only make this pick even more intriguing. Here's why this contest could be bound for the over.

The Warriors' specialty is of course shooting the three with the third-most attempts per game. While New York has the seventh-best defensive rating, attacking their perimeter defense could yield some success.

The Knicks surrender the 4th-fewest points in the paint and give up the 12th-fewest three-point attempts. Still, allowing three-point shots looks a lot more vulnerable compared to New York defending the rim.

On the other side of the court, New York shoots the 12th-most three-point attempts, and Golden State allows the 8th-most shots from beyond the arc.

Ultimately, both teams could fail to defend the three-point line, leading to the over.
