Freshened since but was kept up to the mark with a trial and races well at this circuit and distance with two wins and two placings from five tries. BETA PREPARE (3) started from a handicap last start and was making ground late. Had recorded a third and a fourth in his previous two outings at Alexandra Park. Contender. CAPTAIN SAMPSON (10) resumes following a layoff of three months. Generally comes to hand very quickly, with two wins and a placing from four first-up appearances and he races well at this circuit and distance so keep safe. LITTLE SPIKE (11) looks suited returning to a circuit and distance where he has won four of six attempts.
