Verdict

SPANISH LAD (3) stuck to his task gamely here 12 days ago over 1 ¼m when finishing fourth 12 days ago. He drops back to his pet trip of 7 ¾f, and is near enough to taking out a very nice race like this. Can win at value. SKYMAX (1) made a sharp move before the home straight here in the same race as the top pick, and fought on well to hold second. She cops another wide gate, but is good enough to figure in the top 4 again. EL SPEEDY MAN (8) bounced back into winning form here last time out over this trip. He is a very promising gelding, and he can step up and make his presence felt again, especially with Craig Grylls back in the saddle. SUBIACO (9) remained unbeaten over this trip on the track when scoring by nearly a length 12 days ago. He has a superior gate this time, and he can repeat the dose. KASUKEDO (7) can't be faulted this prep, and he was runner-up behind the fourth pick last time out, when following on from a win here near the end of last month. Keep her very safe.
