Verdict

EYRE I WILL (1) has been racing very well of late and has the hoof on the till after finishing second in his last three outings here. Each of those was from a handicap so while up in grade he should get his chance from this favourable starting position. CASTANA (4) added to a string of strong performances when runner-up at this venue and distance last time out. Goes back in the handicap but the recent consistency is hard to knock. HALBERG (6) bombed the start when resuming but has a strong second-up record. Has to overcome a big handicap but the form last time in was strong. DRAGONSTONE (5) was let down by manners last start but was good in winning here prior.
