Verdict

Looks a good race for ITZ KURTUS MAXIMUS (8) whose best result in three outings so far was a fourth here two starts back. Has to overcome a wide draw but has more upside than most of these. CAPTAIN KIWI (9) has been competitive of late and kept the ball rolling last time when fourth at Ashburton. Also got close to the placings here prior. Must overcome a very wide draw but he is a major player with even luck. THE SEAMSTRESS (4) didn't do a bad job when sixth at Mt Harding last time out. Draws wider but placed in five of the previous six outings so has been going well. COURAGE MACHETE (6) has been solid enough from wide draws of late so is worth some thought.
