Verdict

Plenty of depth to this maiden with IZUBA just about the most persuasive option having finished ahead of a next-time-out winner when a promising second over 6f at Ascot in July. Ghost Raider won't mind any ease in the ground if taking after his dam and he's a big danger, while the Fahey team took this a year ago and Scenic Route rates another likely improver.

Izuba (Ire) silk

135,000 gns yearling, Siyouni colt. Half-brother to 10.7f winner Seola. Dam, useful French winner up to 10.4f, closely related to useful French 7f winner Markhor out of smart 2-y-o 5f-6f winner Vorda. Strong at the finish when runner-up on Ascot debut (6f) in July and sure to progress upped to 7f.

Ghost Raider (Ire) silk

Foaled February 9. €90,000 foal, Invincible Spirit colt. Dam 6f/7f winner (including at 2 yrs). Promising start amidst obvious signs of greenness when second despite stumbling early at Kempton a month ago. Dam excelled with give underfoot and there should be plenty more to come.

Dam unraced half-sister to Sprint Cup and Diamond Jubilee Stakes winner Twilight Son. No chance with a useful one but beat the rest on debut at Thirsk (6f) 3 weeks ago. More to come.
