Has to contend with a very wide draw. Good enough to take out a race like this. CAUGHT THE EYE (12) finished tenth last start over 1 ¼m at Addington, beaten 25 metres, after a good third at Addington when resuming from a spell the run prior. No favours expected from this draw. Has the ability to find the winners' list. FIRST LIGHT (9) is worth plenty of thought off a last-start win by half a metre at Ascot Park. SUGAR BABE (5) has claims off the fresh win two back.

A wager involving choosing the first, second, third, and fourth horses in one race in the exact order. A superfecta box involves paying more to ensure they can finish in any order in the top four spots.

Claiming Race

A race in which horses are entered for a certain price, or claiming tag, which is also their sales price. An owner can claim any horse entered for the tag before the race begins, and owns them as soon as the gates open.

Exercise Rider

A rider built much like a jockey but is employed for exercising and working out horses in the morning.
