Smart filly DUCHESS MARIA (5) hasn't raced since she stretched her unbeaten run to four by taking out the G3 The Sundon at Addington last September but she has been looking good at the workouts. Two of her victories have come when fresh and she is good enough to come from the mark and keep her perfect record intact. PYRAMID ROSE (6) returns from a spell of 11 weeks having ended last campaign with a win at Gore. Readied with a good trial and is likely to run a nice race to kick off this campaign. XERION (3) has the fitness edge on the top two and could be ready to deliver after an improved showing for third at his most recent appearance here. JACCKA ACE (1) had little luck last start but there was merit in the prior effort.
