Verdict

SMART LOVE (2) has been superbly placed to win all of her 3 starts this season, and she lines up in BM75 class again. The extra furlong won't be a problem, and with only an extra 4lbs to carry, she can continue on her winning way. SHE'S A DEALER (3) is a very progressive and patiently handled mare who won very comfortably fresh up at Ellerslie nearly 6 weeks ago. She remains in the same class and is good enough to give the top pick plenty to think about. KING OF THE NORTH (6) caught the eye with a big finish for eighth at Pukekohe 3 weeks ago. He will be hoping the gaps come a bit sooner this time, and he is good enough to have the last say. DESERT MYSTIC (5) lost his way at the end of his last prep on some wet tracks, and resumes from a spell with a couple of trials under his belt. He will be running on late here and is worth including in all combinations at a price. OUTOVSTOCK (1) will be peaking third up and drops in class. Don't treat him lightly. Each way value.

A race with non-claiming conditions set by the racing secretary. They are meant to be a step down from stakes racing.

Also Eligible

A horse that is entered but does not draw into the body of the field due to too many entries, and thus is not permitted to start unless there are enough scratches to shrink the field size.

Dead Heat

Two or more horses finishing so close at the wire, that they were unable to be separated on a photo finish and deemed to have tied.
