Verdict

SWEETAZME (8) carried the whole of Rotorua through to victory fresh up at Arawa Park just over a month ago when scoring with a fair bit in hand by half a length over 7f. He has only been lightly tried, and has always given the impression that he can perform at a higher level then BM65. Stick with him on top. MISS UNDERSTOOD (3) has been too strong in her last couple of starts, including a last start win at this level just over 5 weeks ago. The slight freshen up will do her no harm, and the hat-trick beckons. SURROUND SOUND (7) made progress as a 3YO, and won a nice race at Trentham in late March at his penultimate start prior to a spell. He resumes with a trials under his belt, and is more than capable of a top 3 finish fresh up. EMPIRICAL (10) came with a well-timed run to score fresh up as the favourite by a neck at Taupo 4 weeks ago, and an extra 1f will be further in his favour here. Hard to beat again. RIBKRAKA (1) has held his form through the winter. Stick with him.
