Verdict

LEVAKIA (6) loomed into the race when resuming at Ruakaka and only peaked late on her effort. The trip away and the run would have tightened up her condition, and with some luck from a tricky gate, she can improve to take this out, no matter what the track conditions are. THE ODYSSEY (2) is a quality 7YO gelding resuming from a spell with a couple of solid trials under his belt. He might need it but should not be taken lightly. PROBOY (12) is a progressive gelding fresh up from a spell, and his autumn form was very good. A recent trial will ensure that he will be ready to rumble. Follow any market confidence. RUDYARD (10) has not won for some time, but his last couple of efforts suggest that he won't have to wait too much longer, with a brace of second-place finishes. Stick with him. WOLFGANG (3) got up by a nose fresh up at Cambridge and he is just as likely to do the same here, if he produces a similar performance.
