GENERAL MENARI (3) is a promising gelding who was a tough winner on debut at Taupo in the spring, and then resumed from a short spell to finish fifth as the favourite at Tauranga just over 3 weeks ago when needing the run. He has the pole position this time and should go close to taking this out. Follow your money. PANTHER (4) was runner-up in his only start as a juvenile, and then was presented fresh up at Tauranga earlier this month to score a comfortable win as a short-priced favourite over this trip. He cops another tough gate, but he can take the next step immediately. ZIVOU (5) lived late to score fresh up by a nose at Ruakaka just over 3 weeks ago. He would have improved since then, and he has the scope to go right on with the job. Stick with him. LODI DODI (9) had nothing go right with her in some hot fields earlier in the season. She has trialled up, and if on song, she would be too good here. HIGH ELATION (6) raced greenly fresh up, and will be a quick improver. Include.
