Verdict

GENERAL MENARI (1) has hit top gear this prep, backing up a strong Otaki second with a commanding win over 6f here last time. He maps to get all the favours, and he looks capable of going back-to-back. PUROSANGUE (3) is a progressive gelding who broke through in style at Arawa Park over 6f, putting them away by nearly 2 lengths. He is lightly raced with plenty of upside, and he can repeat the dose. RUBY RUSH (5) returns from a short spell after finishing her last campaign with a tidy Te Aroha win over 7f. She can handle any track conditions, and if she doesn't need the run, then she can give this a shake. LUBECK (6) improved nicely second-up at Ellerslie when finishing close up in fourth over this trip, and she has a superior gate this time. She is peaking at the right time, and her next win is not too far away. MISS MOET ALL (7) set the pace and was only claimed late on the Cambridge Poly track last start, and now that she is back in form, she can take this out.
