Verdict

QUENZA (10) got a long way out of her ground fresh up at Taupo, and was doing her best work late without looking like a winning chance that day. If 7 ½f is not also too short for her, then she can take this out. PEARLING CROWN (11) was a beaten hot favourite on debut at Hastings just over 3 weeks ago on ground that was far too testing for her. She was showing plenty of promise at the trials before that, and on a slightly firmer surface, she can set the record straight. Follow your money. SCAREDOHEIGHTS (9) made up a stack of late ground here last time out after getting too far out of her ground early on when shuffled back in the first half of that race. She is probably looking for more ground now, but if the tempo is genuine, then she can have the last say in this. DAHLIA AMPED (4) did well off a wide gate at Ruakaka last time out, and he should pick up a win at short notice. FACILITATE (1) has looked likely on occasions, and he is well worth each-way consideration in this.
