Verdict

OUR SOLANA (10) was put aside after racing keenly, and being trapped wide fresh up earlier in the season. She has needed time to mature and has shown in the past that she will have no trouble winning a race this year. A superior gate should ensure a softer trip this time, and she is the one to beat for us. DEEP PURSUIT (2) set the pace and gave a great sight for a long time before weakening late and finishing runner-up by just under a length at Tauranga just over 3 weeks ago. He has only been lightly tried for a 6-year-old gelding, and will have the services of Opie Bosson in the saddle this time. He can go one better here. ROARING BEBE (3) is another 6-year-old gelding who has not had much racing. He had his first run since arriving from Hong Kong, finishing second at Ellerslie just over 7 weeks ago. Let the market be the best guide. ROAR OF THE JUNGLE (1) and RYBAKINA (13) both have ability, and should be considered for all top 4 combinations.
