AKSIL (6) tackled tougher company last time out at Ellerslie after an impressive debut win at Taupo in October. He only battled that day and has been freshened up. He has the pole position and can get his season back on track with a win in this. Follow your money. THE ESPY (9) did not fire fresh up at Trentham in a stronger field there nearly 4 weeks ago, and could have needed the run. He is far better than that, and with the blinkers on, he can make amends. Stick with him. WILLIT (2) will be peaking third up, and he has won here in the past, which is an advantage. Each way value in this. BONIFLEUR (5) fought on gamely for third fresh up at Te Aroha just over 5 weeks ago. She likes it here and will relish the extra 1 ¼f on offer. She strips fitter, and won't be far away. OBERON (7) was not far away on debut, and then improved to win by half a length at Te Aroha last time out when racing on the pace. He has more to offer and can repeat the dose.
