A tough stayers maiden is up next, and we have ERASE (2) on top after he was a beaten favourite at Cambridge last start when struggling to cope with the sharp step up in trip from 7f to 1 ¼m. She still battled away gamely, and he will be a lot sharper for this assignment. Follow your money. DENVER (1) was runner-up at Te Rapa on Sunday, and he has been placed on this track in the past, which is an advantage. The wetter the better for this gelding, and he can go one better. ROMANIN (13) was unlucky when finishing sixth at Matamata after being pushed very wide to make her run in the home straight. She is peaking at the right time, and she only needs the right run to be the winner here. DJIBOUTI (12) is a promising filly with 3 placings in 4 starts, with her last start second place finish suggesting that her first win is not far away.
