Verdict

The first leg of the main quaddie is another wide-open field, and we like SILKY SHUBA (8) even from a wide gate. She had excuses with finishing sixth at Ellerslie last time out, and she is peaking at the right time here. On top. KAIROS (3) mixed his form in his initial prep, but showed some real talent on occasion. He is stronger now, and his first win is not far away. EARLICHEER (2) was less then a length from the winner when resuming with a second at Pukekohe 4 weeks ago. He won't have had to have improved by much to go one better in this. LUMBRIDGE CASTLE (5) has won both of his trials this year, and he will be ready to rumble on debut, despite his wide draw. Check the market moves. ODDS AND ENDS (16) has been thereabouts in both of his starts this prep, and with the advantage of the pole position, he will be right in the finish again. GIN AND BARE IT (9) fought on gamely for second on debut at Matamata, and she is an each-way chance again. Go wide in this leg of the quaddie.
