On top. BELLISH BOY (6) was a short-priced favourite when finishing seventh on debut off a wide trip here 3 weeks ago. He has a wide gate here, but he will be better for the recent experience, and his first win is not far away. BURNERPHONE (11) hit the line strongly for fourth at Avondale nearly 8 weeks ago, and was runner-up in a recent trial behind the top pick. She has sound each-way claims this time. UPTOWN (15) makes her debut with plenty of trial experience under her belt. She has a tricky gate, but any market support is worth following. SPIRITUS (7) did himself no favours by racing greenly fresh up at Te Aroha, and will naturally improve second up. He has had a gear change and is worth another chance.
