HE'S A DOOZY (1) is a tough veteran who led and fought on gamely for second in the Kaimai Stakes over 1 ¼m last start at Matamata 15 days ago. He loves this track and is not too badly treated at the weights in a field like this. He deserves another win. TITLED (8) bounced back from a Te Rapa failure to score by little more than a length over 1 ¼m at Matamata, travelling strongly on the bend, and proving to be strong on his preferred heavy track conditions. He faces a deeper field but is capable of going back-to-back, especially with Craig Grylls picking up the ride. UNCLE ARCH (5) was solid when fourth over 1 5/16m at this track after a win at Wanganui in January. He is very capable, and with 15lbs less to carry, he can cope with the rise in class and be a factor in the finish again. Stick with him. LATEST MODEL (9) won two back before finishing well back over 1 5/16m here last time out, nearly a month again. This is an easier assignment, so go again. BOW HILL (11) is an each-way chance.
