Verdict

ANDERSON BRIDGE (1) has thrived since relocating to NZ from Australia, and he impressed when scoring by half a length here over this distance last start, nearly a month ago. He meets a similar tough field, but he has a better gate, and the extra 7lbs may not be enough to stop him from winning again. LEICA RIPA (8) is an exciting prospect in her first campaign, winning her past 2 starts, the latest a very smart effort over 1m at Tauherenikau when scoring by a length. Hard to beat again. ARKSEY (6) was sixth but not far away when resuming over 1m at Otaki. He strips fitter, and would only need a wet track to make it very interesting for the top 2 pick. Stick with him. HOORAH HENRY (3) stormed home to win over 1m at this track last time. His strong association with Samantha Collett is a big plus, and he shapes as an each-way hope again in a very strong field. NANCY SHE WROTE (2) is very capable on her day, so don't rule her out of a top 4 finish here.
