Verdict

ROCK ICE (3) stepped up to 1 ¼m and fought well after facing the breeze on the speed at Taupo last time. Has claims from the nice draw here. ZEFFERT (9) better effort last start when wide in midfield but kept coming over 7f here last month. Any rain would be a help. CEASE AND DESIST (2) led and faded over 7f when 1st-up. Win came at this trip and placed lone 2nd-up start. Improver. MISTER PUCCI (7) solid efforts in two starts here before getting a mile back from the wide draw and battling on fairly last time. Has 2 wins at this trip. LAGISQUET (8) better efforts in last couple when up to this trip and making ground from the rear. Stable is flying so respect.
