Verdict

WENEEDASHOCK (9) bolted in when making his hurdle debut here in June, and he has since finished a bold third on the flat at Awapuni-synthetic. He has no trouble with a heavy track, and is the one to beat again. THE BELVOIR (8) has really improved his jumping this prep, and his form has been rock solid, including a big win in his penultimate start. He is expected to be right in the finish again. ROC UP RALPH (1) has only missed a cheque once in 5 starts over hurdles, including 2 wins. He gets through bad ground with no problem, and he is well worth including in all top 4 combos. LEITRIM LAD (6) ran a cheeky race on the flat at Ruakaka 8 days ago, and even though he is better known over the steeples, he is definitely good enough to win this race. TUTIN CANS (10) chanced some jumps at Trentham last start, and was pulled up on the journey. His win there before that was very good, and he can bounce straight back into form in this.
