ELLE MCFAB (6) fought on gamely at Te Rapa just over 3 weeks ago, and she has a slightly better gate this time. She is more than capable of taking this out. SHUFFLE THE PACK (12) needed her resuming run at Taupo on a testing heavy track, and she will have Michael McNab replacing an apprentice this time. A wide gate makes it tougher, but she can improve enough to figure in the top 3 here. YOKOZUNA (2) did not quite round of his finish at Ruakaka last time out, but it was an improved effort. He is worth another chance. GOLDEN POINT (1) can make the most of his good draw early on, and his last start third at this level was very good after winning comfortably at Avondale when clearing his maiden status in the middle of July. Stick with him. OCEAN ROAD (4) failed to fire last start when not given much hope off a tricky gate by a 9lbs claiming apprentice. He cops another nasty gate here, but is well worth another chance, especially if the track is heavy.
