Verdict

JOVIALE (2) put two on the bounce before heading to town. Was no match for the winner at Murray Bridge but still did a good job to earn a minor cheque. Keeps Milnes and finds a very suitable contest back to the mile. Leading player. MORLAIX (8) doesn't win out of turn but is knocking on the door. Will need a smart steer from the wide alley but is going too good to ignore. TOFINO (7) closed off nicely into the placings last start at Murray Bridge. Rises in weight with the drop in grade but will relish the rise to the mile and looks a serious hope. RUBINI (6) continues to leave himself with too much to do but if he's close enough at the turn, he can cause some grief late. Will be praying they overcook it in front. GIN RUMMY (5) comes through some hot form races. Has been freshened with five weeks, keeping the legs ticking over with a trial. Don't overlook. PRANCING COUNTESS (13) is another that can cause a late scare if they overdo it early. Could rattle home under the light weight.
