Verdict

Pretty even but going with the handy TOKYO ICE (3) who is a former NSW galloper who looks well placed this circuit. Safely held at the provincials first run for new yard but fitter and this is easier. Should run well off the low draw. STRAWBERRY SWING (10) resumed from a good break with a win at Clare at first run for the new yard. Veteran mare with plenty of experience around here and can only be fitter. Back in good order and can run well again. BENTLEY BROOK (2) is a well-travelled galloper having first run for a new yard. This trip suits and senior rider aboard. Drawn to be prominent. ZE BIRDS'N'ZEBEES (8) made a nice return behind Strawberry Swing at Clare. Fitter for it and looks hard to beat off the inside draw. BENDING AWAY (5) was a fresh-up winner of the matinee at Halidon then safely held in town. Much better off here and is worth another chance.
