Verdict

SILVALOA (4) has recently joined the Stephen Theodore stable from Victoria where he has shown plenty of talent in a short career. He has trialled up well enough, and from a good draw, he will be ready to rumble fresh up on his home course. GARCON RENARD (5) finished fourth as the favourite 8 weeks ago off a wide gate at Morphettville, and he has been back to the trials since then. He gets a big swing in his draw, and a big run is expected. Each way. FOUR ON THE FLOOR (3) put it all together when winning his maiden at Mildura by 4 lengths. He has his work cut out for him from a wide draw, but he is promising and can take the next step immediately. WELCOME GYPSY (7) has changed stables since showing pace and fading quickly here nearly 7 weeks ago. She is better than that and is well worth another chance at good odds. XTRAMAGIC (15) has been freshened up since finishing sixth at Geelong, and dropping back to 5f will do her no harm. Stick with her.

Horse Racing Basic Terms

Bobble/Stumble

A slip or a duck from a horse trying to leave the starting gates, often caused by the surface giving way under the feet. This can range from a mild misstep to a stumble down to their knees.
