FINAL COUNTDOWN (7) has been building up her fitness levels in 3 tougher fields than this since resuming from a spell, and an extra ½f will do her no harm. She benefits from a 7lbs claim and can get the job done here. ROYAL FOX (8) has been back to the trials since not having all favours here 4 weeks ago. Dropping back from 1m to 7f is the key, and he is worth another chance. TERRITORIAN (5) has improved since joining the Sarah Rutten stable, and he capped off that form with a well-deserved win here 3 weeks ago as the favourite by well over 3 lengths. Jacob Opperman sticks with him, and so do we. SHE'S TERNACIOUS (4) is a stablemate of the third pick who also won her last start, when sailing home to score by nearly a length from well back on the turn. She cops a wide draw, but should again be hitting the line hard. LAST WAR (16) got back and had no luck last time out at Strathalbyn a fortnight ago, and he is worth another chance.
