CALLISTEMON (3) earns top billing off a sharp Swan Hill third, beaten just over half a length after giving a strong sight over 1m. She rises from country grade into a stronger assignment and is yet to win at around this trip, but the quick back-up suits and her best recent form reads well enough. Key runner. EMPIRESTATEOFMIND (4) comes through the key local reference, finishing second to Win To Retire in a BM56 at this track after covering ground, and his one start at the distance produced a placing. The class rise is the reservation, but he is holding his form. MR RIBTICKLER (1) was dominant winning a Mdn here by three lengths as a short-priced favourite and has Rochelle Milnes back aboard, though he now has to prove that form in BM60 company over further. WIN TO RETIRE (6) is the proven track-and-trip runner, having beaten Empirestateofmind here last start in BM56 grade, and her consistency keeps her right in the mix despite the rise in grade.
