Verdict

KNIGHT DANCER (1) returned with a strong closing effort at Morphettville, hitting the line hard to suggest he's come back in good order. With two wins from three starts at this course and the added trip in his favour, he looks set to be very tough to hold out. MY CRACKLING (5) doesn't win often but has been racing consistently and finds an easier assignment here. Kept fresh, he's one to keep onside. CRIMOSA (9) scored well at Mildura two back and backed it up with a solid effort at Bordertown. He's peaking now, draws well, and is right in the mix. LORD MORTON (2) was narrowly beaten first-up at Wentworth, finishing third over 5f. This isn't much tougher, and on his best form he's a genuine contender. REAL VALENTIA (3) hasn't quite gone on with it since placing first-up in town, but this easier race gives him a chance to bounce back.
