Verdict

TAKING OMAHA (2) is well placed at best in a weak race. He's been racing in better class and got to within 3.5L of the winner in a 64 over 6f at Morphettville last time. He was having his first start for the Reardon yard and a 48-day return. This is winnable with the extra fitness. PRIVATE JET (5) is a live chance building on his narrow first-up defeat this grade over 5 ½f at Naracoorte. He's improved and can use the inside barrier. FRONTPOINT (3) resumes and has pieces of form good enough. Races forward and has a handy 4lbs claim. The betting will be key. GOPHER FRANK (4) looked a run short at Naracoorte first-up and it was a good effort from the 11 gate. Has a low barrier today and Pannell staying aboard is a positive. MR FERRARI (10) is in the mix off a solid enough return.
