Verdict

A modest race and not a lot of recent winning form to consider. OUTPOST (3) lines up fresh for a new stable and brings some of the best form in the race. He hasn't won for two years but this is one of the easier races he's tackled in that time. He's drawn well for an in-form jockey so appeals on an each-way basis. MERCURY EIGHT (4) has more upside than most and looks to have the potential to progress through his grades. This is an easier assignment than last start and he can finish in the money if things go his way from the wide draw. BROADWAY LANE (10) is a 44-rater that hasn't won for some time but suspect he can run a cheeky race first-up from a good draw with Rochelle Milnes aboard. ROKABYE WARRIOR (6) and SHIKANIC (2) can be included in a low-confidence betting race.
