EAGLELOU (1) made good late ground last start to grab third over 1 ?m at Kingscote. Will appreciate stepping back out to this trip and gets in well with the 4lbs claim. Big chance. CUBAN LORD (3) is yet to miss the placings in four starts over this course and distance and it's worth noting Fawke reunites with a strong association. Best figures measure up and he deserves serious consideration. HOTCH POTCH (2) is yet to strike through this campaign but has been thereabouts of late and should be at peak fitness now for this rise in trip. Expect him to be handy from his middle draw and have something to offer when they quicken. A BIG CHANCE (5) has been much better in his last two and is another that should appreciate the rise in trip. Crowther's booking signals confidence.

Main Track Only

A horse entered for main track only (MTO) is one hoping the weather forecast or track conditions will move the race off the turf course and onto the main track. They are scratched the morning of the race if the conditions stay dry.

Exercise Rider

A rider built much like a jockey but is employed for exercising and working out horses in the morning.

Superfecta

A wager involving choosing the first, second, third, and fourth horses in one race in the exact order. A superfecta box involves paying more to ensure they can finish in any order in the top four spots.
