YARRAWIZARDHARRY (7) has progressed nicely this prep, turning in a good effort here last week when finishing third. Peaking now and is drawn to get all the favours from the inside. Should give this a mighty shake. KIKKULI (2) tackled city class latest when sixth at Morphettville Parks. Will find this easier and appreciate the added trip, though he will need a smart steer from the wide draw. MIKKI TANGO (3) showed good early speed last start before boxing on well and finishing second, over this journey at Strathalbyn. Peak fitness now and should be blending into the race nicely from his draw. PETIT EAGLE (9) took a good step forward second-up when chasing gamely into second here. Will appreciate the rise to the mile and gets in well with the claim, though is likely to drift back and be saved for the final shot at them.

Claiming Race

A race in which horses are entered for a certain price, or claiming tag, which is also their sales price. An owner can claim any horse entered for the tag before the race begins, and owns them as soon as the gates open.

Blinkers

A hood worn on a horse’s head to limit side vision, which can improve concentration. Blinkers are added or removed to relax a horse or give it more focus.

A list of upcoming races issued by the racing secretary, where the conditions of races to be run over the next few weeks are written.
