BRILLIANT BULL ANT (3) is still a maiden after 11 starts but comes through some stronger races than this, second in town at Sandown Hillside two back before a sound fourth at Bendigo. Rates highly in this field. MASAKARI (4) finished 2 lengths adrift in sixth when fresh from a layoff last start over 6f at this track. Should come on from that and will take holding out. VERY FAMOUS (11) returns from a short break after finishing sixth over 7 ½f at Ballarat Synthetic five weeks ago. Kept up to the mark with a recent Flemington trial placing and can be an improver in a suitable race.
